Mike Stephens, Guide

Mike joined the UAW/GM workforce in 2012 as a Skilled Support Operator and was elected to the position as Local 160 Guide in 2016. He believes the work environment should be a positive place and strives to make that happen using communication skills gained during nearly 20 years as a realtor. He listens to fellow workers’ concerns and requests with compassion and concern, bringing those needs to our Board meetings as needed.

While serving as Guide, Mike enjoys being part of representing future contracts and decision-making options. He is a second-generation UAW Local 160 Executive Board member and a fourth generation GM employee.

Mike has five children and enjoys camping and outdoor activities with his family. He likes teaching the teens how to fix cars and do their own maintenance and repairs. There’s never a dull moment.

He looks forward to continual service to both the UAW Local 160 Board and his fellow auto workers. It is an honor to represent all UAW Local 160 members.
